Doug Cannell uses steel — an inherently industrial material — to bring out a gracefulness and an organic characteristic that celebrates the material, and its decay. Often using rusted, reclaimed steel as a basis, this is not so much a "series" of works but a collection of artistic inventions that share an aesthetic through-line.
